Will create much needed housing in Wortwell including affordable housing so the younger generations don’t have to move away from rural villages.low impact of flooding at this end of the village, properties proposed are in keeping with surrounding houses, also would be a plus extending the 30mph speed limit as cars tend to speed out of the village into redenhall.

Representation Summary:

I am writing to you about the proposed development on Mill Hill Site High Road Wortwell (ref VC WOR1). After living in the village all my life it would be nice to see affordable housing for village people to buy, i.e. 1 mile radius of Wortwell. The dog exercising area is what the village need. It is a great idea for people to meet and exercise their dogs.

We are writing to convey our support for the proposed development to the Mill Hill site, High Road, Wortwell. Your reference - VC WOR1.
We have lived in the village for 43 years and feel that it would be beneficial to the parish to allow the housing project, especially with the mix of affordable housing and a dog exercising area.

Respondent: Mr Tony Evans

Representation Summary:

My family and I have for many years run and lived in The Black Swan, Homersfield.
I have recently seen details of the Wortwell Cluster plan and, as a local businessman, would like to offer my support to the development at Mill Hill, High Road, Wortwell (Ref. VC WOR1 inclusively). I believe it offers a good mix of affordable and town housing, hence going some way to addressing the local housing problem. In addition, the dog exercising area would be a valuable asset to the village.

Whilst there are no designated heritage assets within the site boundary, Redenhall church (grade I listed) is very visible from the northern part of the site.
We welcome the reference to the GI listed St Mary’s church, Redenhall in paragraph 26.23 and the reference to design and layout including building heights to the reflect the prominence of the site in the River Valley Landscape. We also welcome bullet point 4 of the policy.
We recommend an HIA is prepared for this site to fully assess the impact and ensure the appropriate mitigation is in place within the policy.

Change suggested by respondent:

Prepare HIA and amend policy, if necessary, with appropriate mitigation measures.
