Representation Summary:

Their are extra concerns on extra capacity on the sewage now passing along the street and in both directions will cause many issues with this causing the pumping stations to not be able to cope with the extra sewage. The current sewer is at a high level on the street making the flow very insecure and is subject to flooding. the gulley's across the street has natural flow of water along new road which means in time of high rainfall the parishioners gardens flood. the current sewer leaks either from households or land drainage and Anglian water are aware

Change suggested by respondent:

The sewage system for the whole village needs a full update and is imperative if the new dwellings go ahead to ensure the flooding issue is dealt with before the building on the new site commences.

Please be aware that there are also Raw sewerage issues in this area that have occurred (possibly as a result of Surface water entering the sewer) during times of heavy or even medium rainfall. Gardens and, on one occasion houses are inundated with sewerage and surface water. Houses already have NRV's Fitted. Anglia water engineers also state that the pumping station flow rate cannot be increased any more with out increasing the capacity of the receiving sewer through the whole Village to the treatment works at Wrenningham end of the village.

Change suggested by respondent:

Whilst there have been some recent minor improvements made to renew the pumps and better maintenance of culverts, further development that increases the load to the pump station can only mean increased risks to existing houses and residents in this area. The sewage handling throughout the village should be guaranteed significant improvement before any further development of sites in the new road are are given
