South Norfolk Village Clusters Housing Allocations Plan (Reg. 18 Draft)

Representation ID: 551

Received: 22/07/2021

Respondent: Mr Des Aves

Agent: NPS Property Consultants

Representation Summary:

Land to the west of Field Lane site SN2081 is located in a sustainable location with no physical or environmental constraints. The development can address concerns raised in the initial site assessment with regard to scale, access and loss of the hedgerow and thus this site should be allocated for housing in the South Norfolk VCHAP. The site would form a natural extension to the existing settlement boundary and provide infill development between residential properties.

The site has strong potential for housing development and would relate better to the village/village envelope than sites SN1015 and SN0222OSL.

Respondent: Mr Richard Holmes

Representation Summary:

Existing building is also on site and approval for additional building already in form of outbuildings, in regards Gargeners Cottage, there is already approval for building in front of Gardeners Cottage and also house has been already built close to the boundary on the other side. There is limited opportunity for self builders and infill plots in the area, especially for a eco home on character with keeping with the village, no need to consider the schools as not wanting to go back to school. In recent years council have let building outside village area. So object to rejection.
