Any suggested improvements at Planning stage will be reduced on the grounds of "viability and affordability" by the developer. In reality, it will amount to worthless and useless token gestures that do not address the existing issues of traffic volume through a village that has no streetlights (which we don't want) and predominantly has no footpaths. The 30mph speed limit is too high and pedestrians take their lives in their hands whilst walking along Church Road.
