Church Meadow is a small estate road providing access to some 50 dwellings. In good weather children often play on the road riding their bicycles and skateboards or playing bat and ball. When there is a football match or training session on nearby Garrick Field, the road is usually busy with parked cars.
An increase of some 50% in the number of households and therefore traffic volume using Church Meadow arising from:
• 50 additional cars (assuming 2 per household)
• additional delivery vans and HGV lorries servicing those households
would significantly impair the tranquillity and safety of our community.
The South Norfolk VCHAP SN 0400/VC ALP 1 plan should be abandoned as Church Meadow is a residential road and is not suitable for the volume of traffic that would be generated.
