Representation Summary:

20 new homes seems rather high considering the need to reflect the form and character of neighbouring properties, as laid out in the design code within the adopted Neighbourhood Plan. The neighbouring properties are all bungalows and their residential amenity must be protected, by allowing sufficient distance between them and any new properties, which should also be bungalows.

Change suggested by respondent:

A maximum of 16 properties is more reasonable. Protection of the residential amenity of existing properties by ensuring gardens are not overlooked and enough space between the existing and new properties must be allowed to ensure green space. The plan should identify that bungalows should be built on this site.
