Representation Summary:

NCC's response (as attached) to 2022/1993 planning application noted Gillingham Primary school is currently oversubscribed, so has no capacity for new pupils from GIL1 or other sites. Provision of extra land for the school within GIL1 will not help within the medium term, as there are no plans given for the land use. As this land is adjacent to Daisy Way, it can be reasonably assumed that there will be an access created to the school from Daisy Way and there has been no consideration of the impact of that in either this Plan or in the above Planning Application.

Change suggested by respondent:

The GIL1 site should be removed from the preferred site list as one of the reasons for it being shortlisted is good accessibility, noted in the SAR to be based on its proximity to the Primary School. There are no places at the school and any expansion of the school will require planning permission, design and construction, so will take some time to implement.
