Although this would be infill, this site has a variety of mature trees and a pond: these were noted to be significant and in need of restoration in TPO survey (see email to PC 14.07.2020 from Imogen Mole; Conservation and Tree Officer). We think that development would be detrimental to character and ecology of Seething village. This area of the village, extending north to Well Cottage has unique wooded character (noted in “form and character”) that would be adversely affected by development. The northern limit of this “southern component” of the proposed new settlement boundary should be at Orchard Cottages.
