Village Clusters Housing Allocations Plan - Alternative Sites & Focused Changes (Reg. 18)
Representation ID: 3286
Received: 24/12/2023
Respondent: Mr Derek Barber
Swardeston has insufficient facilities and infrastructure to support the original planned 30 dwellings so this should not be increased. The claim that "neighbouring Mulbarton" has easily accessible facilities ignores the fact that Mulbarton is not accessible by pedestrians or cyclists due to the extremely dangerous nature of the road and footpath. Building more houses that necessitate using a car to access anything cannot be allowed in the present climate.

Amber - archaeological mitigation will probably be necessary but is unlikely to prevent development. There is already a planning application on this site.
