I write to lodge a holding response in respect of the above site.
The assessments published with respect to highways and landscaping seem to me questionable. This is substantially due to the recent profusion of undergrowth bounding the site and the lack of through visibility. However, much of this undergrowth is of poor quality and generally unmanaged – albeit with some valuable trees and hedges mixed in. In order that further measurements can be taken and the potential for development properly addressed by reference to a scale plan, the site owner proposes to undertake the necessary landscape management works while, of course, ensuring that valuable trees and hedges are suitably protected.
To confirm, I will notify you of the outcome of the proposed landscaping works by the end of October 2021 so that your team can easily re-appraise the highways and landscaping issues. That should provide for a more informed view on the development prospects of the site in the context of access and landscape setting.
