South Norfolk Village Clusters Housing Allocations Plan (Reg. 18 Draft)

QUESTION 175: Do you agree

Representation ID: 1515

Received: 02/08/2021

Respondent: Alan Irvine

Representation Summary:

The Settlement Limit should be extended to the east along Flaxlands Road to include an additional area of land to the south of Flaxlands Road to accommodate up to 6 additional dwellings as an extension to the village and as an addition to the area of land that has the benefit of planning permission under reference 2017/2096. The land under 2017/2096 has been sold to a developer and the small settlement limit extension would provide a further small site for housing to ensure the future growth and vitality of the settlement.

QUESTION 44: Do you think

Representation ID: 1536

Received: 02/08/2021

Respondent: Alan Irvine

Representation Summary:

A revised version of SN4068 should be supported as a preferred site. SN4068 was put forward for 12 dwellings on 0.8 ha but noting comments in the Suitability Assessment about the size and the gap between different parts of the settlement, it is considered that a reduced area of 0.4 ha for 5 or 6 dwellings (see attached plan) would overcome concerns. Adjacent land was granted permission in 2017 (2017/2096).
The site is sold to a developer. This additional land is a logical extension to the village, is well and safely connected through 2017/2096 and is deliverable immediately.
