Factual comments have been removed since the Reg 18 submission
Wicklewood Parish Council repeats it's view that an estate development like this in a small village will alter the whole character of the village which has previously developed by small developments which are more easily integrated into the community. The parish council would support smaller, infill, road front developments which would be better integrated
In the current plan and in the Regulation 18 statement, it stated that "Church Lane and Low St ....... and the dwellings here and on Hackford Road and Wymondham Road benefit from extensive views of the surrounding countryside" On the Reg 19 draft you have deliberately removed the factual comment about Hackford Road and Wymondham Road also benefitting from these views. I would appear that this comment as been deliberately removed because if it was left in it would not support the site allocations VC WIC1 and VC WIC2. You would appear to have deliberately manipulated the assessment of Wicklewood to suit.

Wicklewood Parish Council have concerns about drainage at this site. At a presentation given by a developer at a parish council meeting, the parish council and several local residents raised concerns about how the surface drainage of this site would impact on the drainage and septic tanks of nearby properties. We cannot see that anything has been done to mitigate this risk. There are also concerns about the development exiting onto that road on a blind bend where speeding is an issue and which has already seen some accidents
Wicklewood Parish Council does not consider this a suitable site for a housing development
