We support MM53 and the continued allocation of VC THU2. Create Consulting’s January 2024 site-specific appraisal identifies Flood Zone 1 with localised surface water risk that can be addressed through layout and drainage design. Successful BRE365 soakaway testing supports infiltration-based drainage, subject to detailed design. We consider the site can accommodate the allocated housing numbers alongside necessary mitigation. The appraisal will require review against the latest flood risk evidence, with an updated Flood Risk Assessment supporting any planning application. We ask the Council to note the completed investigations and seek no further changes to the modification’s wording.
