South Norfolk Village Clusters Housing Allocations Plan (Reg. 18 Draft)

Respondent: Mr Colin Ford

Representation Summary:

Some properties facing the site have been flooded on more than one occasion. All the dwellings opposite this site are bungalows/cottages. Building 2-3 storey houses on this elevated ground would ruin the character of the village.
Most developments are four bedroom houses with not enough parking - there would be a bigger problem with parking on the street. Where would the access road(s) be? This will create more surface water run-off.
These properties would not be affordable to local people with children, therefore fact that the school is near would be irrelevant.
The site also has three-phase 11,000 volt cables buried along the frontage and beside the footpath.
