Representation Summary:
The village school is over subscribed. It's enrollment policy gives priority to those living in Alpington, Yelverton and Bergh Apton. It is reasonable to expect that 50 additional properties across these villages will increase demand for the school. This is likely to mean that any brothers or sisters wishing to join their siblings at the school who live in neighbouring villages will not be able to enrol.
Change suggested by respondent:
Recognise that the local school is unable to accommodate any additional headcount without impacting the future needs of families with children already the school not in the catchment area.
