Representation Summary:

1. 35 houses is far too many. Over last 25 years, housing in Bawburgh has increased by 10%. This will increase by further 10%.
2. Necessary infrastructure (shops, surgeries, school etc.) not included.
3. Roads narrow and unsuitable for additional vehicles resulting from the additional housing.
4. No public transport in village, other than one bus per week. Pollution from additional traffic unacceptable.
5. Plan will spoil beautiful view over Yare Valley for anyone approaching down Stocks Hill, heading north.
6. Sewerage system cannot cope with existing housing.
7. No street lighting permitted in village.
8. No adequate provision for affordable housing. “10% affordable housing” is 3 homes. Not enough.
9. No provision for accepting views of residents affected by proposal. Well over 50% object - not democratic.
10. Landowner originally proposed 20 houses. Council suggested 35, therefore enriching landowner to detriment of local residents' interests.
11. Plan has failed to address damage to environment, road safety and need for supporting infrastructure.
12. Plan infringes on established Conservation Area.
