Representation ID: 2642

Received: 03/03/2023

Respondent: Mr Ian Hancock

Legally compliant? Yes

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? No

Representation Summary:

Infrastructure - no shops, no GP or dentist and minimal public transport would result in increased cars needed to access these services. School is also already oversubscribed.

Poor existing roads, speeding in village, use of stocks hill as cut through, lack of footpaths and street lighting will increase danger to residents, add to noise and air pollution.

The bridge is a scheduled monument – extra traffic may weaken bridge.

Existing sewerage system struggles to cope – more residents will exacerbate risk.

Adding houses on farmland will increase risk of surface water flooding.

Housing density is too great for land size.

Change suggested by respondent:

If the plan is to proceed limit the amount of houses to 10 and ensure that they are in keeping with the last 2 small scale developments within the village.
