South Norfolk Village Clusters Housing Allocations Plan (Reg. 19 Pre-submission Draft)

Representation ID: 2773

Received: 05/03/2023

Respondent: Mr Mike Smallwood

Legally compliant? No

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? No

Representation Summary:

Given the lack of transport services and rural location, the proposed site will inevitably lead to increased traffic through the village towards Longwater. No consideration has been given to the narrow and historic 18th century bridge, as well as the other narrow single track roads in/out of the village. This already causes significant issues at peak times which would be increased by the scale of the proposed site. Furthermore, Stocks Hill has already proved to be dangerous, by the recent fatality within 50m of the proposed site entrance.

Change suggested by respondent:

The road network around Bawburgh is not suitable to accommodate the proposed plan.
