South Norfolk Village Clusters Housing Allocations Plan (Reg. 18 Draft)

Representation ID: 383

Received: 13/07/2021

Respondent: Mr Keith Woods

Representation Summary:

• I agree with the existing Settlement Limit and object to the changes proposed.
• The reasons set out by the Little Melton PC are well documented and include reference to the recent and scheduled building of 110 houses.
• Little Melton is too close to the ever expanding development of Hethersett and shares school and health services, which are already under pressure.
• Given the proximity of urban Hethersett, Little Melton needs to keep its village character.
• The plans produce a dumbbell shaped village, without an identifiable centre. The current centre of gravity is around the Primary School.
