The shortlisted site should be rejected. Access to the site is poor. Access has previously been deemed unsuitable via Honeypot lane. Access via Astley Cooper Place would be narrow and would turn a quiet cul de sac into a busy thoroughfare, causing danger to the young children who live in the Place. Delivery and Development would cause huge disruption to residents. The ground is notoriously boggy. Several houses in Astley Cooper Place have had to undergo treatment for subsidence. The land between numbers 8 and 9 contains a drainage ditch which will need to be maintained.
