The statement regarding the windmill being shielded by leylandii trees at the roadside is incorrect. These trees were removed February 2015. Has someone from the team visit Wicklewood in the last 7 years?
The large open area of agricultural land, in the centre bounded by Wymondham Road, High Street, Hackford Road, Church Lane was mentioned in earlier local plans as being a particular feature of the village and development of this area would be detrimental to the form, character and rural setting of the village. This statement should be reinstated as development here would see the village double in size.
