Both allocated sites fall outside the settlement boundary.
Numerous precedents in Wicklewood of planning refused due to settlement boundary.
Re-drawing settlement boundaries requires demonstrations of demand.
2008 – 2020 Wicklewood saw 39 new dwellings built, at 3.25 p/yr
At 1/4/21 permissions existed for 17 dwellings with 6 more AFD. 23 dwellings at a past delivery rate of 3.25 will complete 2028.
Local Plans reviewed every 5 years.
Therefore there is adequate provision for development at past absorption rates of 3.25 p/yr.
There is no need to allocate further land in Wicklewood until the Local plan is reviewed again March 2026.
