Village Clusters Housing Allocations Plan - Main Modifications document

Delete Policy VC BAR1, supporting text paragraphs 4.13 – 4.19, and site allocation VC BAR1 from the Barford Policy Map.

Delete Policy VC BAR2, supporting text paragraphs 4.20 – 4.28, and site allocation VC BAR2 from the Barford Policy Map.

Make updates to the following paragraphs and the Barford and Colton Policy Maps to reflect modifications to the settlement limits:

A Settlement Limit has been drawn to include the main built form of the settlement. A smaller Settlement Limit has been drawn around the existing properties on Church Lane to the west of the village. An area of existing settlement limit has been removed south of Church Lane, where a previous Local Plan allocation has proven to be undeliverable, whilst a cluster of dwellings at Pastures Grove to the east of the village has been included.

Due to the very limited facilities available in Colton the The Settlement Limit at Colton is predominantly focused has been drawn around the built form on Norwich Road, to allow for very limited infill development and to avoid further expansion into the surrounding countryside, preserving the rural character of the area.with two small additions drawn to include existing development east of The Street and south of Marlingford Road. To preserve the character of the settlement, an intervening ribbon of development between Malthouse Farm and Stable Lodge has been excluded from the Settlement Limit.
